1. Christmas Shopping Series: Small Treasures

Every holiday, I tend to pick a theme around which to buy gifts, wrap presents, decorate the house, etc. One of my favorite gift themes is buying lots of small, exquisitely-made objects to wrap like little gems for friends and family. There’s something so needlessly luxurious about tiny precious things. Here are a few of the petite treasures I have my eye on this holiday season.

Pyrrha Wax Seal Initial Necklace in Bronze or Sterling. Hand crafted in Vancouver from fragile Victorian seals, Pyrrha’s unique pendants have a comfortable weight and rawness. Priced at $166, these initial pendants are a thoughtful but not too exorbitant gift. I own a necklace from the company’s Talisman line, and it is one of my most treasured pieces.

Crazylibellule and the Poppies-Le Baton Solid Perfume. This indie French line of solid perfumes is full of fun options that smell unique enough to be personal, and pleasant enough to be readily appreciated. The elegant Baton line runs around $60 bucks a pop, but the company’s more playful paper wrapped scents can be found for under $20. Perfect for both perfume newbies and advanced frag hags.

For your sexier holiday needs, Hanky Panky is offering their legendarily comfortable and cute rolled thongs in an adorable “corseted” box for holiday gift giving. Each thong comes individually wrapped, for $18. Go get you some.

Tea Forte Winter Duos. These elegant little holiday packages each hold two individual loose leaf infusers, and have space on the back for a personal message. For $5 each, they would make lovely stocking gifts for the gourmet in your life.

A fabulously pretty gift for the techie femme, these Vivienne Tam Butterfly Lovers Earbuds from Anthropologie are on the higher end of the price scale, at $198. But they are so chic, you may decide they are a necessary luxury.

For the more masculine-of-center, and perhaps geeky, amongst us, these Fine Recycled Silver Lego Cufflinks from AliBaliJewelry on Etsy are both fun and elegant. For $110, these take a favorite childhood memory to a grownup level of sophistication.

And finally, for an over-the-top dose of sophistication and craftsmanship, this Geneva Money Clip from William Henry Studios can be customized with an array of luxury materials, such as mokume, Damascus steel, fossil ivory, 24K gold, carbon fiber, gemstones, shell, and hardwood. Ranging from $195-$495 depending on which customizations you choose, this is a truly top shelf gift for the connoisseur who recognizes the beauty of a finely crafted object.
